God save the queen

actually this queen thing is pretty long ago... last week actually... i'm a backdated-bloggger...lazy... juz too lazy...last friday to b exact...

basically what we did whole day is, dress up, shirt tie n black pants... then we came to schl n each of us were put in charge of another schl, mostly sec schl's , ITE n the other Poly's...

the other poly's were dressed v. informally, t-shirt n jeans, n like were v. siao in front of the camera's...

on the other hand, my group got the ITE students.... at first we tot they were some JC caus of their blazer n all...suprisingly they were pretty quiet bunch... i overheard one of them saying that the ITE purposely chose those quiet students to go....haha...

reaching the new national library, we stood by the side of the entrance for a couple of hours, a real waste of time... in my head i was thinkin, like " who does she think she is, the queen???".. yes she is my boy...

there was this v. chio s'pore sportswoman, her face looked v. familiar, dressed in heels n the red team s'pore jacket... but quite dao... also, i heard frm my fren that the only reason tt she is here, is caus she not gd enuff to qualify for the Commonwealth games...zz... next time if got her name i'll post it here..

what we were therefore is basically 1 thing... to add a crowd for the cameras... u see the flags ppl wave on tv whenever there is a major foreign guest? the flags are given out by the organisers... so, juz bout everything u see on the "news" is staged publicity...

no wonder mum always said :"dun blive everything u see on the tv"...

after the visit, had lunch and went to Esplanade for a committee meeting for CYA... the details r quite hush hush, but there was a voting system, n somehow i got voted joint head of PR... huh... imagine tt...

then it was off to airport yet again for CYA duty proper... hmm... 1st day for the 5th batch... they weren't the only one stressed up... i was too... i got the sorta taste of like unexpected parenthood thrust onto you...
