Had a 1 hour lesson today... 1 hour, 1hour!!! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME... to illustrate, it takes me 1hr 15mins to get to school from home, and the same time to get back. So you can probably guess what i did right? yes, skip lessons!

But not for the reason you are thinking... actually going would be a waste of time, but i hate skipping lessons even more. Anyway i skipped lessons caus i had to go to Changi Cargo Complex to sign the 5 year bond to SIA Engg. They only operate on weekdays 9-5, so sooner or later i would have to skip some classes to sign the bond, and wed was the best time.

Can imagine what soccer stars feel like when they about to sign contracts, had my manager with me(my mum), and they had their HR asst manager. My mum much better a finding out stuff then me, caus of her thicker skin. Found out that only 7 out of 50+ ppl who applied got it. For this i hav to giv God all the glory, caus the interview was super tough n depending on myself would only hav ended in failure.

after signing, we went to tampines to do some banking stuff. Created some bank account and can get a Sony Mp3!, cool eh... to b honest i only moderately interested in the banking side... those bankers get really nice office, v. comfy, n the customer service is great!

Finally persuaded my mum to get the sports channel, n the world cup channel...

saw jeannie with her bf today... she didn't come for the gathering tt day...

Lost Identity

Question: Why do people go for soccer shoes that 90% of the time isn't even going to be used for soccer?

Ans: The same reason ppl buy near rally-spec performance cars like the Imprezza WRX STi and Lancer Evolution... To get that bit closer to the action... juz some food for thought as i put on shoes preparing to go out today... plus, it's cool right?

got to church today, happy in the knowledge that Liv had beaten Chelsea last night and on the way to winning the FA cup...sure it may not be as big as the Champions League, but it's better than the carling cup right? it was so big, even one of the pastors mentioned it, and he's a Man U fan...

The plan is simple, Chelsea takes the premiereship, Liverpool the FA cup, Man U already has the Carling Cup, and mayb Arsenal will win the Champs League...

Went Marina after church again for lunch... think the new marina really much better than the old one...

This is it... as you can see, everyone looks a bit confused and not really all together there...it's been bout 1.5 years since the last time we met officially, and things haven't changed v. much...
i'm glad to say all the guys made it for the gathering, including Aaron who is studying in states...

The other well, haha, i dunno what happened... most ppl went though, n kudos to Hilda for putting in the massive effort to make it happen...

FUNdamentals of flight

so... school's finally reopened... new faces, new subjects, same old story...

well not quite.... for one, the new modules are almost exclusively aero modules (which= the fun stuff)... also most of the lecturers we get this semester all seem pretty good at teaching.... of course, we still get those wonky ones, but even then, tt dosen't mean they teach badly...

younger lecturers are a fresh change... i was pretty suprised when i first saw my "fundamentals of flight" lecturer, he had black hair on his head! he's around 30 give or take, n reminds me of a Cadet Inspector or Officer, the way he carries himself or teaches us, always refering to us as "gentlemen"... haha, he prob dosen't noe us very well to call us that....

yest(Thursday) was the first day doing replacement for CYA... up till now had only done friday.... this was much to the amusement of some of the other thursday seniors... a senior hu nev done replacement...

anyway thursday CYAs pretty cool.... got quite a gd no. of pretty gals...also found out of the days seniors is same batch as me from Pasir Ris Pri... recognised one of the juniors from somewhere in the distant past... rmbred her name, but can't rmbr where she frm... she said she also find me familiar... hmm... one of them was even changing in the room, while i was already in it... haha, rmbr hui ping?

when i was on my way back to the office to sign off, guess who i saw... a certain ms ong aka "g-string"... at first i tot i was seeing things caus all i could see was back view, but the black skirt, peachy coloured vertical striped blouse is totally unmistakable..... she was walking with some guy, looks like those cheat money salesman, n he was wearing a bluetooth earpiece...

he basically grabbed her by the hand n dragged her across the entire arrivals.... haha.... v. funny to watch... nev liked ppl who wear bluetooth all day... makes me think they like to act busy or impt or smth...

my new GEMS module is Astronomy n Calendars... took it caus got some interest n can score A quite easily... found out the lecturer for the module not so well informed.... kept on saying malay-calender instead of Islamic calender.... and pronounced Christ as "Chris".... zzzzz.... tt class really sleepy... luckily happend tt one of my CYA junior(but actually same yr as me), also took this GEM so got some company....

Friday, friday.... forgot tt it was a public holiday, only rmbr tt got CYA tt day. went out with wq, jas, n ql to marina square. The plan was to play DotA n buy shoes, but ended up we only have time to play dota. Even then, it was a big rush. Halfway through the game, my senior Elektra called me, asking me whether i could meet her at the airport earlier to pass me her old course notes. So rushed through the game, in order to meet her.

Even then i knew couldn't make it on time, in fact, got there half n hour late. Feel v. bad, hate to make ppl wait long... specially when she came all the way with those heavy notes... when finally got there, another big delay... skytrain was stuck! first time in the whole univerese i ever heard tt smth in the airport is not functioning... so sway...

anyway finally met elek 1 hour after i arrived at the airport together with some others... didn't have long to stay n chat though, caus suddenly got a call from the walkie, from one of the CSO's saying that they needed help with crowd control cause of the fallout from the Skytrain thingy...

zzz... guess it not my day.... but duty calls. anyway this was the moment i'd been waiting for, smth exciting at the airport... like looking for lost kids, or finding a lost passenger or smth... spent the next hour or so running up n down the airport...

gd news is though, i got the SIA engineering bursary/scholarship thingy... think she got a job there too...

even made frenz with one of the skytrain guides, a guy named kil... happens to b his from NP 2nd year, haha, so chances are i could have sold him a laptop last year.... friendly guy, working there part time...

then later went to do arrival counters where it was really busy with all sorts of passenger problems i never faced before... foreign workers with passports expiring the next day and missed flight because of the skytrain, african football players whose agents didn't meet them, n they got no money, n more n more complicated stuff.... haven't learnt so much since.... i started CYA i think... quite refreshing....

SAT

more dota, enuff even to satisfy me... 4 matches, 2 random, 2 standard.... played pretty well, no lag, good fun, even when we lost 1st match... got to use all the new char's like veno, lich, omni.... but 4 hours enuff.. hope start schl no reunion dota... haha...

later sppsed to go city harvest play for Good Friday, but it was fully packed by the time i reached, which was on time... ended up going to eastpoint for Sakesushi instead.

Last week of Hols, finally truly free, so got time to do 1 for fun post..

Now this is Jeon Ji Hyun, the sassy gal, from the korean movie My Sassy Girl.... she came into Spore last night bout 7+, she's here to promote her new movie, Daisy, which i never heard of... yet... no matter...

Question: how come pretty korean actresses dun come to Spore when i'm doing duty at the airport? i dunno... the only thing i noe is, she's cute... specially in that olympus camera ad....

Old Acquaitences

over the past week met 3 ex-hai sians... one's tt i know quite well tt is...

first up there's khim hwee, aka wee-wee, kiwi etc etc...met him caus last thurs after work, everyone hungry, so went tampines S11 to eat, then dennis called khim hwee along... good news is his hair is more under control now....haha...ok dun make fun of hime le...

anyway dennis said khim hwee is dota pro... not juz pro, damn pro.... 30 kills with 0 deaths? tt would put him over spence in the match which he used the Stealth Assasin...

anyway while we were ordering food, met brad n his gf.... his gf, quite pretty, then summore like planes n swords n stuff, so i reckon quite a gd catch.... oh, n he was in his boxers, again...

after we had finished eating, then were like waiting n wondering where to go next... i quite tired then wanna go back, but brad n gf were still like eating n talking n stuff, so i asked dennis they all wat to do....

daniel, who was sitting next to brad's gf, said:"stare la"... umm, this kinda remark, usually i find quite funny, but then, when brad n gf started staring at him, then like.... not so funny anymore...
luckily i told brad we gtg le, then all of us took off...

comments like this... always ticks off lecturers n staff.... i wonder in sec schl, wat would happen to him...haha...

on sun met brad again, this time after church.... once again with his darling...

that evening, bout 9+ went tamp mac to watch the liverpool match with ql n wq... but when i got there, they were at S11 le, caus they tot mac not showing....

so watched the whole first half by myself, got a good seat n was drinking my milo... at half time, caus v. urgent so went to the toilet, but left my half-full milo at the table as i didn't have anything else to like mark my place.... coming back from the toilet like a minute later, there was a guy sitting at my table, n my milo was gone! really so sway, wat i imagine really come true...

quite irritated, then went around looking for another table, then some botak guy call me, "TIMO!"... i turned around, actually this botak guy was wan fung, he shaved himself bald, again... zzz...

later i went to talk to the person who was cleaning up, n got myself another full cup of milo, which was nice of them.... wanted to write the GEMS card thingy for them, but was busy toking to wf....

after a bit then ql n wq reached mac... later mariliene also... the liverpool match was quite boring... was more entertaining bluffing her bout soccer stuff....

Chilling Out

Tuesday, was a v. busy day for us at acer... specially asked my boss, whether can leave at 6... because i was meeting jas, wq, n marilene for Ice Age 2(<--hence the title). actually ql n marilene, invited me for movie on fri, but can't make it, so invited them back, but only mar can make it, so therefore the weird combi... the rest of the story i'm sure u all noe liao so i will not repeat.... juz think that, it's pretty cool to go to a movie premiere, n the new Cathay looks spiffy, bit mix of old style architechture n modern...
Friday

this friday is the last day of some of those friday CYA's from my batch(4th batch)... my senior asked me to organise a gathering after duty, so i did a simple one, sending out a single sms to a few ppl...

CYA in my time consisted of about 8-9 ppl max, today though a total of 19 ppl arrived for the gathering, including the 5th batch... success! at organising even with v. little effort put in...

the VP was on my day again.... u noe, the one who likes to pick on wat i do in the airport... he came over to my counter today, n did the audit for the juniors n me...

the worse bit was, he made me ask the questions n correct them, making life v. difficult for them... wat's more, i had to stand through all 3... v. stressful, when they can't answer, when he ask diff question, n put them in awkward positions, i'm caught in the middle....

the way i see it, CYA duty ppl shld stick together n help each other out, n not make life diff for each other... after all, wat can we gain from it? nth... to prove my point, when i walked to T1 today, the 5th batch ppl juz walked past me as i was doing roving.... i dunno them, they dunno me...

this wouldn't hav happened back in the gd old days, when we had 45 min breaks, n everyone met up together... it was going a bit overboard i admit, but it was a hell lot of fun...

after their audit, i juz took a walk along the finger pier of the F gates alone... walking alone, gave me time to reflect on CYA n my future in it... starting to feel like my fav senior who left, Elek, who loves duty n juz watching the planes n passengers, not thinking of rules n sucking up n stuff like tt...

one day i'll write a book about the history of CYA... it'll go down in history books, like the communist revolution or smth... there's lots i can't say....

btw i went for the interview for offical CYA Senior Rover promotion today... mixed emotions going there, shld i care whether i got promoted? or even if i drop out of CYA? am i prepared? then i juz gave up n realised not to trust my own thinking...

i got into the interview seat pretty calmly, n though some of the questions were pretty tough, n i was a bit shaky at times, i had a good feel when i came out of the room...

Lionel, another of my fav seniors, told me bout my new position of quatermaster.... thinking over from him who will b stepping down frm committee...

later the VP wanted to treat us for pizza, but i left for kembangan n Dota.... when got there, they were playing a match against another team... the match was v. exciting, but we lost in the end... actually felt bit frustrated at our team losing n sum ppl not playing properly, budden i realise, it's juz a game, n i guess i take it too seriously......

haha, another reason for my title is a new char i've been training, after watching the match this afternoon, thinking of learning a new team-supporter character, Omniknight, which is a great assest in team battles...
